ABSTRACT
Taking up the novel “A Burden of Flowers(花を運ぶ妹)”(2000) by Natsuki IKEZAWA, this paper attempts to place it in the literary representation history of Bali Island since Jun TAKAMI’s “One Fine Day(ある晴れた日に)”(1941). The world was told through multiple viewpoints and securing 3 points, and the method of solving the case in the novel represented the postcolonial. Another characteristic of the book was that it showed the value of prayers that bet on spiritual power different from that of specific religions.
