ABSTRACT
In China, many of Naoya Shiga’s works have been translated into Chinese, starting with Zuoren Zhou’s “Abashiri Made” (“Shosetsu Getsuppo”) and “Seibei to Hyotan” (“Minkoku Nippo”) in 1921.Since the selection of works and the characteristics of their reception have varied over the past hundred years, it seems possible to divide the evolution of Shiga’s literary translations into four major stages. This paper provides an overview of these translations and a list of bibliographic information on the translated works.
