ABSTRACT |
This review focuses on Volume 4, Literature, from Zainichi Diaspora and Glocalism, edited by the Japanese Studies Institute of Dongguk University. This volume offers a comprehensive analysis of the historical development and cultural challenges faced by Zainichi diaspora literature. It explores the processes of formation, hybridity, resistance, and coexistence through its four sections:“Formation and Development,” “Settlement and Hybridity,” “Antagonism and Representation,” and “Coexistence and Peace.” The works of authors such as Kim Sok-pom, Yu Miri, and Lee Hoe-sung are examined in relation to historical events and identity issues, emphasizing how Zainichi literature responds to themes of political violence, displacement, and memory. This volume provides an in-depth exploration of the diverse aspects of Zainichi literature, this volume offers new perspectives to both researchers and a broader readership. |
