ABSTRACT
This book is Professor Chie Tarumi’s study that interprets Japanese and Taiwanese literature as a “resonance of shared memories and imaginations.” Covering writers and films from both the prewar and postwar periods, it carefully illustrates the connections between Japan and Taiwan beyond differences in language and culture. It is an essential work for anyone studying Japan–Taiwan literary relations.
